Student Performance Recital

Recitals give students an opportunity to perform the songs they have been practicing for the last six months on stage in front of an audience. It's important to note that classes are essentially practice for the art of performing. Every note, every scale, every song is preparation for performing on stage. In my opinion, a pianist becomes a true musician once he or she has been through the pressure of performing live many times. Much like in sports, practices lead to games, and games lead to tournaments. My students hone their craft and music in anticipation of their summer or winter recital.
